Tara and Gretchen met in nursing school, where they quickly bonded over a shared commitment to excellence, compassion, and leadership. Both graduated summa cum laude, united by a deep belief that nursing is both a science and a calling.

After graduation, their professional paths evolved in complementary ways. Gretchen remained deeply rooted in direct patient care, dedicating her career to serving individuals and families at the bedside. Tara, while grounded in her early nursing experience, moved into executive healthcare leadership — working nationally to improve hospital quality, strategy, and patient outcomes. She advised C-suite leaders, launched healthcare innovations, and focused on elevating systems of care at scale.

Though their roles differed, their shared purpose remained the same: protecting patients and guiding families through vulnerable moments.

When Tara founded Nuvera Care Partners, she knew the vision required both perspectives — the strategic understanding of healthcare systems and the steady presence of an experienced bedside nurse.
